Former David Bowie guitarist Mick Ronson joined Ian Hunter in Mott the Hoople in 1974, but the band split up the following year. The duo formed the Hunter/Ronson Band & toured during 1975, although their first album was released as 'Ian Hunter' due to contractual obligations. Mick Ronson went on to tour with Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue, whilst Ian Hunter embarked on a successful solo career. They got back together in the 80 's & continued to work together on and off until Mick Ronson's death in 1993. Ian still records and tours to this date.
In 2009, Ian celebrated his 70th birthday, and was reunited with the original Mott The Hoople line-up for a series of sell-out gigs at the Hammersmith Apollo.
