The
Pirates
Johnny Kidd & The Pirates were responsible for the classic hit 'Shakin' all
Over' - but the death of Johnny Kidd meant the band split up. Many years later
in 1976, 3 former members of the band reformed for what was to be one-off reunion
gig. However, due to the favourable response from the press & audience, the
band became a permanant fixture. They wrote new songs, & brought out 3 albums
in the 70's, but eventually split in 1983. The band has resurfaced on various
occaisions since then, & lead guitarist Mick Green recently featured on Paul
McCartney's 'Run Devil Run' album.
