Rory Gallagher made his name in the sixties with blues-rock band Taste, before moving on to a successful solo career in the Seventies. He gained an almost legendary status during this decade due to his superb guitar-playing skills, and continued recording & gigging throughout the Eighties and Nineties until his untimely death in June 1995 after a liver transplant.
